Here we go! Rockstar games has announced that they will be releasing a DLC for the hit crime thriller L.A. Noire. But Rockstar is offering more than just the DLC. Starting today, in NA and Europe, players can purchase teh L.A. NOire Rockstar Pass, a way to pre-order DLC and give them access to all seven (yup, seven) paid DLCs.
The Rockstar Pass will be available for a limited price of $10.00 (PSN)/ 800 Microsoft Points (Xbox LIVE). If you calculate it, you’ll be saving approximately 50% if you decided to purchase all the DLCs individually!
And now, the break down of DLCs: we have four uniques cases, two detective suits and a collectible challenge. Each case will feature its own set of trophies/achievements.
The seven pre-order DLCs will be available today, starting with “The Badge Pursuit Challenge” ($2.00/160 Microsoft Points) and the Sharpshooter/Broderick detective suits ($1.00/80 Microsoft Points). “The Naked City” Vice case and “A Slip of the Tongue” Traffic case are also launching today as well. These will be available at $4.00/320 Microsoft Points each.
Two more cases will be available this summer: the “Nicholson Electroplating” Arson case (6/21/2011) and the “Reefer Madness” Vice case (7/12/2011). These cases are based on famous noire fiction and real-life crimes taken straight from headlines. As mentioned, all of these will be available using the L.A. Noire Rockstar Pass.
Furthermore, Rockstar is offering a free download of the Chicago Lightning Detective Suite, as well as the Chicago Piano machine gun to members of the Rockstar Social Club for free! You can register to join the Social Club at http://socialclub.rockstargames.com.
