Rytmik for DSi

So this isn’t actually breaking news, and the title is already out in Europe, but this looked worthy of mentioning, especialy to all you audio/music lovers. Check out Rytmik from Cinemax.

Rytmik is more like an application than a game. It basically turns your DS into a powerful pocket music station. Unlike ClassicMoments, I’m not an expert on music or anything audio for that matter. So I could attempt to explain in my own words what this bad boy can do. However, it might just be more productive and effective if I just give you guys the features list. Also checkout the clip below to see Rytmik in action.

Cinemax has also anounced that it will be holding a contest for all musicians out there. There will be 30,000 Nintendo points in total prizes, and details will be released on the 14th of May. I would imagine that this contest is, at this point, only available to gamers in Europe, but I hope to see this kind of contest more after its worldwide release. But for now, enjoy the features list and the clip!

- pocket music station
- huge selection of drums, percussions, basses, leads and fx instruments
- intuitive pattern-based interface
- up to 128 clips, each clip has up to 4 instruments with musical notation
- selectable timing, location in the stereo field, volume, polyphony and echo
- build songs from clips, combine clips into 4 tracks
- switch between clip and song view
- library of more than 170 sound samples
- includes a library of pre-made clips and whole songs
