Here we go! Konami has announced that they will be releasing two new DLCs in early 2011 for their latest installment in the Castlevania series.
The first DLC will be called Castlevania: Lords of Shadow “Reverie”, where players return to the Castle as Gabriel to help Laura, the former servant to the vampire Carmilla, in destroying the unruly evil that was previously kept in check by the recently slain Queen. Sounds like a pretty decent, standard DLC.
The second DLC will be called “Resureection.” It picks up right where the game leaves off, giving some insight into the dramatic epilogue of the game. It apparently features a “final Showdown with a very notroious enemy”, and give insight to Gabriel’s ultimate destiny.
“Reverie” is currently scheduled for release in February 2011, and “Resurrection” in April 2011. In the meantime, we have some concept arts to indulge in!

Konami is making yet another attempt at bringing one of its most successful and loved 2D games to the 3D realm. And judging from the screenshots, this one looks promising.
I played their last attempt at creating a 3D Castelvania, and to put it frankly, I was not impressed. But I am definitely looking forward to this one! Take a look at the screenshots below, and for those interested, the story line follows:
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow is set in a ravaged Europe of the middle ages. The planet has been devastated by a powerful magic. The souls of the dead are trapped on our earthly plane unable to find peace, and inhuman creatures of nightmare now roam the Earth, wreaking havoc. Having witnessed his wife Marie (voiced by Natascha McKelhone) murdered at their hands, Gabriel (Robert Carlyle) pledges revenge against those responsible: the mysterious Lords of Shadow.
Gabriel learns from an ally called Zobek (Patrick Stewart) that each of the Lords possesses pieces of a relic called ’The God Mask’ that, when assembled, can purify the world and has the power to bring the dead back. Thus, Gabriel must face the three factions of the Lords of Shadow and confront them.
