Cedemo Video Game Bar Code Scanner App for iPhone and Android

Are you a nervous shopper? Do you ever have doubts that what you’re purchasing is really what you want? Well fear no more!… well at least when you purchase video games. Cedemo, a European based marketing platform for video games has just released a free video game bar code scanner app for both iPhone and Android.

This app was actually launched in Europe earlier in October, for the iphone, but now its available in North America, and for the Android as well. As the name suggests, this app basically allows you to scan the UPC bar code of a video game to get all the information you would ever need… well almost. You can get descriptions, videos, trailers, screenshots, exclusive content, ratings, and features list.

It’s pretty awesome, except that I feel that it lacks one very crucial and essential feature for any bar code scanning app: a price list! This app would be an essential for all gamers had they included a price list of say the top 25 website retailers, and perhaps an option to use the GPS on the phone to locate local retailers around your current area.

There are other apps, at least for the Droid, like ShopSavvy where you can do this, but I’ve found that the scanner works way better on the Cedemo, and ShopSavvy is not specifically catered towards gamers, and doesn’t have all the cool features of the Cedemo. I think with one update and addition, this app could be a gamer’s best friend!

Our old App wasn’t working correctly, so we’ve changed our app to a new one.

Now you can download it from the Android Market.

If you see multiple Gamers Route App, please choose the one made by Notice.Software.

*If you see the multiple posts and error messages, simply just uninstall the old version and re-download the latest version.

Fun Gaming Facts

Only 2000 or so units of Capcom’s hulking Steel Battalion, an Xbox game powered by a table-hogging 40-button controller, were released. There was a very limited follow-up run in the US, however.
