This question is almost a taboo, but since we got no trolls or anything, I think this can be a safe question to ask.
For game systems, I say Final Fantasy Tactics for PS1 was one of the greatest of all FF series. It gets complicated but also fun if you start get into it.
For storyline and all, I love FF6 for SNES. The presentation was great for the time, and I still enjoy to play. I just cannot love this game enough. Music is so awesome and each character's story is just epic of their own. Or at least that's my opinion.
For balance, I love FF3 for NES. All the multiple sword swings to job system, and secret Dragons for extra-rare items for the level 90~99 Onion Knight, I loved FF since then. This is also when I first witnessed unfair death of the game character. For balance I also liked FF5 but never had a chance to finish it.
FF7 and FF8 was alright. Not bad, but too much eye candies I thought. They're good games but didn't moved me as much as FF3 or FF6.I believe the children are our future... unless we stop them now! - Homer Simpson
I like them all Final Fantasy Tactics was great and FF3,FF6~ I will die in battle; that I am certain of. But I hope to die in a battle of my choosing. But if it is to be this one, do not bury me in our sad little cemetery. Burn me, and cast my ashes to a strong eastern wind ~
I haven't played the earlier FFs, but storywise, I LOVED FFVIII. I especially loved the whole battle of the Gardens sequence. It was great. I was definitely into all the FFs I've played, but so far, FFXII has been the most addicting with all selection of gambits and quests. Though the acquisition requirements for some of the ultimate weapons were just rediculous. I mean really.
I'm a huge fan of Tactics. I still play it on my PSP just because I love how you can customize every char
I also like FFXI
To be honest, I only really played FFVII, but I did see other people play some of the other titles. Still, FFVII had an interesting story."Want... to play... Need... to stop... coding... Help!.."
