Javier Clemente: Messi is the best I have ever seen
The Sporting Gijon head coach was full of praise for the Argentine superstar, proclaiming him the world's greatest ever player after his two-goal showing on Sunday
Sporting Gijon boss Javier Clemente has declared that in his own opinion, Lionel Messi is the greatest player of all time.
The 61-year-old coach was speaking after the Argentine forward's phenomenal week in which he bagged seven goals against Bayer Leverkusen and Racing.
"He's the best player I have seen in my life, " the former Athletic Bilbao trainer told Mundo Deportivo. "I would like to know if he does those things on purpose Custom Soccer Jerseys, or if they just come naturally. "
He did however concede, that the current Barcelona team are not his favourite ever.
