Damian Filigree: The Book of Thoth for iPhone/iPod

We here at GamersRoute are all about innovative/creative gameplay. And Damian Filigree: The Book of Thoth apparently brings innovation to the puzzle genre.

It sounds like a  match three puzzler. The player is faced with a series of hieroblyphs etched into the wall. By matching three, the stone breaks, and the player is able to move forward and continue down the hallway.

The twist comes in as the game progresses; the player will be  forced to rotate entire sections of the puzzle to match the three hieroglyphics, but also rotate sections of the puzzle as well as the pressure of oncoming enemies. Furthermore, as the game progresses, the player obtains items and power-ups that can be used to overcome traps and enemies.

This game promises a gameplay that’s both easy to grasp and learn for casual gamers, but provides enough meat for hardcore gamers. Might be worth a look! Damian Filigree: The Book of Thoth is available now on the iPhone/iPod Touch
