Capcom announces a new Devil May Cry

At a showcase event held in Tokyo, Capcom made several announcements about upcoming titles, one of which was a new installment in the popular Devil May Cry franchise.

I loved the first DMC, and the third installment was phenomenal. The fourth one was an ok introduction into the next gen consoles… and we won’t even talk about the 2nd one.

For this new DMC, Capcom will be collaborating with Ninja Theory, a UK based company. With this collaboration, Capcom claims that this new DMC will deliver the essence of DMC — stylish action, rewarding combat, and a smart-talking protagonist– with a host of new weapons and new powers, wrapped in a darker, more brutal gameplay.

Just looking at the trailer, this title definitely has a more grimy, but slick new look to it. Even Dante seems to have a re-imagined look to him. We’ll be excited to hear more news regarding this new title! Meanwhile, enjoy the announcement trailer:
