Deadlock Puzzle for iPhone / iPod touch

Posted on 29 June 2010 by GillRider

Here’s something you don’t see everyday: a Brazilian game developer. The game is called Deadlock, and yes, it’s a puzzle game; big surprise.

However, the game does look pretty sweet. The main idea of the game is matching shapes. You are given a puzzle board filled with circles, squares and x’s. Then you are given a series of puzzle pieces that fit into those shapes, either in pairs or in threes. The goal is to fill the entire board, with no spaces left. The idea is simple, but because each puzzle piece can fit in countless ways, there is no one “correct” solution, and the puzzle piece available to you change as well.

This game seems to prove yet again that just cuz it’s simple doesn’t make it easy. Check out the gameplay trailer, and please, by all means, enjoy the music.

Deadlock is now available on app stores for US$.99, or check out the lite version here.
