Sid Meier’s Civilization V – first screenshots

Posted on 18 February 2010 by ClassicMoments

Usually, when game is in development, the first day we were notified their PR send us the screenshots from day one.

But with Sid Meier’s Civilization V, though everybody knew that there’s going to be a sequel, no one could confirm it. And after a long, long wait, it’s official starting today; 2K Games announced that Firaxis Games Studio is developing Sid Meier’s Civilization V, and it’s already on its way for this fall.

Such a short notice between the official announcement and the release date, but fear not because they’ve been working on it since people have been wondering for the next version. The new engine is built from ground-up so Sid Meier’s Civilization V won’t be just another patched up version, but a true sequel.

The game excites and worries us at the same time. It’ll be one of the greatest thing happening in the history of strategy gaming world, but at the same time it’ll force us to play hundreds, if not thousands of hours in front of the computer, trying to conquer the world by the brilliant system that Sid Meier will come up with.

No words on exact release date but the official website suggests fall of 2010. – http://www.civilization5.com/

Fun Gaming Facts

Final Fantasy VII was originally designed for the Nintendo 64, but Square cancelled the project and moved to the PSone because of the lack of space in the console's game cartridges. FFVII would've filled 13 cartridges.
