NIER – Square Enix can make game other than RPGs?

Posted on 22 January 2010 by ClassicMoments

Square Enix (though Square Soft still comforts some of us a bit more) is a big name in this multi-billion dollar industry. And just as gamers hear that name, they immediately think of the Final Fantasy series or other great retro RPGs.

But as we’ve seen in recent conventions and expos, Square Enix is now investing in fresh new IP, and some of them are not even RPGs. Well, many games nowadays have some kind of RPG element to it, but “action adventure” doesn’t fit the name Square Enix too well. Or does it?

Though we haven’t tried them yet, I think it’s pretty safe to say that the game will have awesome presentation that Square Enix is famous for.

The game will be available for PS3 and Xbox360 on March 31st, 2010. We’ll let you know more as we get the news.
