Posted on 22 October 2009 by ClassicMoments

So, you’ve seen awesome screenshots of Shattered Horizon. Though it look amazing, you probably have wondered if your PC can take it.

Well, Futuremark today revealed the minimum requirement for Shattered Horizon:

Minimum Requirements:

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 / AMD Athlon64 X2 5600+
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce 8800GT / ATI Radeon HD 3870
GPU memory: 256MB
Hard disk space: 1.5 GB
RAM: 2GB
Sound: Windows Vista compatible sound card

Recommended Requirements:

CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 / AMD Phenom II X4 940
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260 / ATI Radeon HD 4870
GPU memory: 512MB
Hard disk space: 1.5GB
RAM: 2GB
Sound: Windows Vista compatible sound card

NO Windows XP and DirectX 9 support. It’ll only run on Windows Vista or Windows 7 with DirectX 10+.

So…… All of you Windows XP users now have to consider upgrading your OS to either Vista(yikes) or Windows 7(whew).

Our crystal ball (ClaslsicMoments had a freak accident down there so the doctor had to replace it with something permanent) says that many more games will drop the XP support and will hop into the Windows 7 train within next couple of years.
